Functions

of ZET 7155 digital geophone

Digital geophone ZET 7155 is a vibration sensor with an integrated sensing element enabling conversion of ground oscillations velocity into a proportional electric signal. Vibration speed value is calculated automatically by means of an integrated processor.

ZET 7155 is used in the kit for seismic research performance system. Seismic event recording algorithm is as follows: the geophones located in the control area convert mechanical oscillations into electrical signal and forward it to the recorder via the kit for seismic research performance. The recorder is used for signal registering and further processing.

Seismic survey

using ZET 7155 digital geophone

Digital geophones are integrated into the scope of the kit for seismic research performance used for seismological surveys based on reflected and refracted waves method.

Maximum seismic streamer length is 250 m. The geophones are connected to the kit for seismic research performance with GSC-4H (Herma-4) connectors. The maximum number of digital geophones that can be connected to a single digital kit for seismic research performance is 24 pcs.

Digital geophone ZET 7155 is ready for operation – all necessary settings are stored in the integrated memory. In the case, if it is necessary to perform any parameters configuration, connect the sensor to the PC via interface converter and start ZETLAB “Device manager” software.
