OPERATING PRINCIPLE

of Digital gauge pressure ZET 7012-I VER.2

ZET 7012-I VER.2 digital gauge pressure consists of primary transducer and integrated measuring module.

Primary transducer converts pressure values into analog signal. The measuring module converts the signal from the transducer into digital format and transfers the pressure readings via RS-485 (Modbus protocol) or via “Current loop” interface (4-20 mA).  The membrane of the primary transducer is made of elastic silicon plate. This allows to perform inertia-free dynamic measurements with duration up to 1 ms. Unlike metal plates with fixed bridge strain gauges, membranes of this type enable registering pressure fluctuations at the level of 0,00005 from the upper range limit.

ZET 7012-I VER.2 digital gauge pressure has an integrated cable. Depending on the product version specfication, the sensors are delivered whether with contact output for the interface 4-20 mA, or for RS-485, or with a plug FQ14-7TJ-8 at the end of the cable for connection to the interfaceRS-485 (connection to the measuring network should be performed via ZET 7002 converter).

The pressure meters are mounted on the controlled object and interface modules providing data transfer are placed inside of electrical cabinets.

INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS

The pressure transducers should be installed in the corresponding mounting seats, connectors, weldolets, etc.

Mounting of the pressure transducer (installation into the mounting seat) is to be conducted with the use of wrench and hex connection. It is not allowed to use any other parts of the transducer package for installation purposes.

In order to ensure hermeticity of the transducer at the installation site, use the sealing end (paronite gasket).

Use of other sealing instruments (foam tape, linen fiber, etc.) is forbidden, since it may damage the sensing membrane. In this case, installation of the transducer is conducted in enclosed volume, thus creating excessive pressure, which may exceed the operating range of the transducer.

Using digital pressure meters is especially convenient when establishing distributed measuring networks. Unlike normally used centralized measuring networks, there is no need to use “star-type” conection, which allows to  reduce overall cable length. Since the data is transmitted in digital format, the are less requirements for data transfer channel, besides, one can use inexpensive cables for the network establishing.

In order to connect the measuring network to ZETLAB and ZETVIEW systems, one can use interface converter ZET 7070 (USB ↔ RS-485) or ZET 7076 (Ethernet ↔ RS-485). Using inner power supply module ZET 7070 one can connect up to 4 digital pressure meters to a single ZET 7070 module (and up to 60 digital pressure meters if external power supply module is used).

ZETLAB Software enables connection of up to 1024 sensors to a single PC. Measuring networks can also be connected to any system using Modbus protocol via interface RS-485.
