Functions

of ZET 230 ADC DAC modules

ZET 230 ADC DAC module is used for high-precision signal measurements in wide dynamic and frequency range. The module has an integrated anti-aliasing filters for 25 kHz. ZET 230 ADC DAC module is not designed for digital processing of constant level signals.

ZETLAB BASE Software delivered together with ZET 230 modules enables measurements and control performance immediately as the PC connection is established. ZETLAB BASE Software includes all the programs necessary for tests and measurements by several channels, control of the measured values and current parameters transfer to PC.

The block diagram of the ADC-DAC module

4-channel multiplexer sequentially commutates all the selected channels to a single operational amplifier at equal time intervals. As the channels are switched over, the signal processor produces a command to start ADC conversion. As the conversion is over, the ADC forms ready flag and signal processor operation is suspended. ADC module is based on sigma-delta ADC of sound frequency and has even FR characteristics at the transmission band.

Signal processor saves the data to the integrated memory of the device for its further transfer to USB controller, via Ethernet or for the purpose of recording it to a flash-drive. The data from integrated memory of the signal processor is forwarded to 4 independent DAC converters. DAC output signal is formed by operational amplifiers. At the moment of module’s activation (i.e. power-up), there is performed ADC autocalibration and the current readings by constant value are set as zero value.
