Measuring System Design Procedure
What are the most important steps and procedure sequence for designing a measuring system based on ZETSENSOR?
When designing a measuring system based on ZETSENSOR:
STEP 1. Define the type of used interface and ZETSENSOR version (see “5 steps to choose a ZETSENSOR”).
STEP 2. Choose models and the number of digital modules which will facilitate solution of tasks assigned to the system.
STEP 3. Taking into consideration the requirements for measuring lines structure linearity (no star connections are allowed), define the necessary amount and design lengths of measuring lines to cover all location places of digital modules.
STEP 4. Based upon project lengths of measuring lines, according to the graph in the section “Data rate on RS-485 and CAN 2.0 interfaces”, define possible data transfer rates in measuring lines.
STEP 5. According to the information in section “Data channel usage”, make sure for each measurement line that connection of required number of modules will not lead to data channel overload.
STEP 6. Define the necessary number of interface converters which must correspond to the number of measuring lines in the system.
STEP 7. Select the necessary number and type of external primary converters (sensors) for ZETSENSOR digital modules that are to be used with them.
