Sine-on-Random (SoR)

The Broadband random vibration program supports a number of combined tests, including the combination of sinusoidal and random vibration (Sine-on-Random).

This test type enables accurate imitation of machinery operation (e.g., rotary machinery). Vibrational environments of this machinery type are characterized by pseudo-periodical oscillations.

In order to use the combination of sinusoidal oscillations and the broadband random vibration (i.e, the combined tests), go to the “Sine” tab of the corresponding program.

It is possible to enable/ disable the use of SoR by means of the function “Use sinusoidal oscillations for tests“. Upon activation of this function, it will be possible to configure the parameters specified in the table “Sine oscillations, combined test mode“.

For adding new strings to the table, use the “Add” key (it is possible to add as many strings, as it required by the relevant technical specifications). After adding a new string, it becomes possible to set the following parameters:

start frequency,

end frequency,

vibration acceleration value for a particular test period,

test performance speed.

To delete a string, select it and use “Delete” key.
