The ZET 7112-A VER.2 pressure meter is intended for use in automated process control systems for various industrial applications:

It is a digital pressure meter for simple and fast pressure measurements which transmits the measured values in a digital form via CAN 2.0 interface.

Operation Principle

Digital pressure meter ZET 7112-A VER.2

Functional units of ZET 7112-A VER2 pressure meter are as follows: a primary transducer and a measuring unit; they are combined in a single cover which ensures digital processing of the signal from the transducer within the minimum distance from it, which significantly decreases distortions of the measurement result.

The primary transducer converts the pressure to analog signal. The measuring unit digitizes the signal from the converter and transmits the pressure value in a digital form via CAN 2.0 interface. The membrane of the primary transducer is made of a flexible silicon plate. This allows to perform inertia-free dynamic measurements of pressure fluctuations with duration up to 1 ms. In contrast to metal membranes with glue-fixed bridge strain resistors, membranes of this type allow to register pressure change at the level of 0.00005 of the upper scale of the range.

Digital pressure meter ZET 7112-A VER.2 has an integrated cable with FQ7 socket at its end point. Connection to a measurement network is performed by means of ZET 7002 connector.

The pressure meters are attached to the measured object while the interface modules enabling data transfer are placed inside of electrical cabinets.

ZETLAB electrical cabinet is more compact than similar available products. Among ZETSENSOR modules advantages one should mention easy installation and de-installation of modules as well as power and signal transfer indication (which, in its turn, facilitates in-place diagnostics of the measuring system).

The pressure transducers should be installed in the corresponding mounting seats, connectors, weldolets, etc.

Mounting of the pressure transducer (installation into the mounting seat) is to be conducted with the use of wrench and hex connection. It is not allowed to use any other parts of the transducer package for installation purposes.

In order to ensure hermeticity of the transducer at the installation site, use the sealing end (paronite gasket).

Use of other sealing instruments (foam tape, linen fiber, etc.) is forbidden, since it may damage the sensing membrane. In this case, installation of the transducer is conducted in enclosed volume, thus creating excessive pressure, which may exceed the operating range of the transducer.

Based on the ZET 7112-A VER.2 pressure meter

Digital pressure meter ZET 7112-A VER.2 are ideal for building distributed measurement networks since they do not require expensive cables for this purpose.

During the primary and planned calibration, parameters of the ZET 7112-A VER.2 pressure meters are stored in the device memory which significantly simplifies its operation. To perform measurements, there is no need to set the pressure meter, it starts operating right after being powered on and generates the values of the measured pressure, so no subsequent signal processing is required as well. Measurement results may be used for automated control of pressure level in control systems.

The interface converters must be used for connecting the measurement network to ZETLAB and ZETVIEW systems. Connection options via USB (ZET 7174), Ethernet/Wi-Fi (ZET 7176), GSM (ZET 7177), and radio channel (units ZET 7172M and ZET 7172S) are available as well. Up to 4 pressure meters may be connected to a single ZET 7174 unit. The figure below shows the structure of a distributed measurement network based on ZET 7112-A VER.2 pressure meters.

In combination with control units, the digital pressure meters may be used for precise maintenance of parameters in various processes.

Device type is selected from the dropdown list. In order to select a device, pick an element with left mouse key and choose a device to be checked from the list.

Use selector to set particular test. To set the test number click the number with left mouse key and set the required value by scroll. If the self-check is on, the selector will not be available until the user stops the project or the self-check is over. There is a key for start / stop of the process. The green key means that the diagnostics process is on, grey key stands for  for idle state.

Indicator is a timer showing the elapsing time of the current test. The countdown is started after beginning of any test. Test results are available in the log.
