Sine-on-Random-on-Random

(SoRoR)

The program “Broadband random vibration” allows to create a combined vibration testing profile, in which the sinusoidal oscillations are used together with narrowband noise. This option is called Sine-and Random-on-Random (also referred to as SoRoR).

This test type enables accurate imitation of machinery operation (e.g., rotary machinery). Vibrational environments of this machinery type are characterized by pseudo-periodical oscillations.

In order to enable the combined vibration testing mode, in which the sinusoidal oscillations are used together with random vibration, it is necessary to develop a test profile by configuring the parameters available in the “Sine” tab.

The section “Use sinusoidal oscillations for vibration testing” allows to enable/ disable the SoRoR function. Upon activation of the function, it will be possible to edit the information displayed in the table “Sinusoidal oscillations, combined test mode”.

Then enter the “Noise” tab. The function “Use the narrowband noise for testing” allows to enable/ disable the random vibration impact (just like in the case of “Sine” tab). Upon activation of the function, it will be possible to edit the information displayed in the table “Narrowband noise, combined test mode”.

In order to add new strings to the tab, use the “Add” key (it is possible to add as many keys, as it is required in compliance with the relevant technical documentation). To delete a string, select it and use the “Delete” key.
