Spectral density as a vibration test parameter


How can one define the necessary shaker system parameters in accordance with the specified BRV spectral density?


Spectral density value allows to determine the required acceleration and frequency range value. Frequency range normally corresponds to the interval of 10 – 2000 Hz – this range can be used for almost every shaker system model. Total acceleration for BRV tests is specified as RMS. In the case in the manufacturer has not specified the particular top limit for BRV acceleration, one can use 50% value from the total acceleration maximum value.

To calculate total acceleration value using spectral density parameter one should calculate figure area below the diagram and root the value obtained.
