In the case of a vertical load test the tested objects mass is limited by the shaker structure, in particular, by trunnion used for moving element aligning. The more the load is, the lower shifts the moving part of the shaker – this causes knocking of the shaker under large displacements. Besides it causes change of shaker frequency characteristics – resonance frequency of the shaker decreases as the payload grows and it may affect the testing profile.
In the case of horizontal tests the tested object is levelled whether by slip table or by suspender. Slip table is normally ordered from a manufacturer. The suspender is developed by the user and needs some troubleshooting.
Slip tables maximum load is specified in the product certificate. However, it is better to confirm this information with manufacturer.
